Ham Radio IQ has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking inside the app. We do not sell or share your information. Almost everything stays on your phone.
If you tap "Use my location", the app asks your phone for your position once and turns it into a Maidenhead grid square (for example EM25). Only the grid square is saved, and only on your phone. Your exact position is never sent anywhere.
To show which signals are being heard near you, the app sends an approximate point to the public WSPR database (wspr.live): the center of your grid square, rounded to one decimal place (about 7 miles). This is not linked to you or to any account. You can type a grid square instead of using location at all.
The app downloads public space weather data from the NOAA Space Weather Prediction Center. These requests contain no personal information.
Contacts you log are stored only on your phone. They leave your phone only if you export them yourself.
hamradioiq.com uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without identifying you.
Ham Radio IQ does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. Questions: contact@wildboneoutdoors.net
